Ladies, the moment you feel the need to prove your worth to a guy is the exact moment you should walk away.
No two ways about it...
It doesn't matter what stage of a relationship you're in. The person you're with should be with you because they like most of the things about you, and the other stuff they like enough to tolerate.
It's easy to lose yourself in the emotional dramas of love and lust. You feel attached to people and they may seem irreplaceable. It's a vicious cycle that can only be broken with cold, hard logic.
If someone wants to be with you, they'll be with you.
Let go of your fairytale romance fantasies and stop trying to force something that — for whatever reason — the universe isn't allowing.
Throw away the idea that you'll never find someone else, because if that's your only reason for holding on then I can almost guarantee you that there is someone better for you out there.
Stop making excuses for the person you're with and speculating the causes for their hurtful behavior. It's a complete and TOTAL waste of your time.
Wait for the guy you don't have to prove anything to.
The guy who likes you just as you are, and doesn't need a resume or references to back up your awesomeness.
Those guys are out there, and they are much more worth your time.
